  1. Translation

    Just added another “lab” experiment to my portfolio.  It uses the brand-new Google Translation API to attempt to translate any word or phrase and tell you what the most likely language is.

    Suggestions for using translation services on a website:

    • Translate user comments from any language to any other language. 
    • Translate instructions or text to any language.

    I use it while reading books with lots of italicized Latin/German/French text that I’m supposed to be educated enough to understand.

    The script is based on the standard examples floating around the web.
